The Childhood of Design
Can design help children better prepare to live together in society?
What values and sensory experiences can designers offer to raise awareness among the citizens of tomorrow?
This course, developed in partnership with a 4th/5th grade class, aims to create a tangible connection between design students and children from a primary school in Issy-les-Moulineaux through a participatory, co-creative workshop. How can designers share their skills with children? How can “making together” lead to a broader reflection on the idea of “making school” in the future?
Can design serve as a tool to help children imagine and shape a more collective and inclusive society?
