Accessing the Garden

A range of sensory patterns inspired by the textures, shapes, and colors of a historic garden forms the basis for a collaborative creative workshop.

Following several weeks in residence at the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Cultural Park, we co-designed a series of sensitive cards with people living with severe disabilities and, later, with young people from social care homes. Inspired by the garden’s motifs, the cards rely on a modular system that allows for varied, dynamic, and tailor-made compositions. Both playful and singular, the process combines multiple elements: a screen-printed, textured base card onto which geometric fragments of colored paper are arranged and framed using a Marie-Louise (mat board).
